Following an extensive evaluation involving 22 interested software companies, Indian River County selects Intuitive Municipal Solutions to modernize permitting and streamline Community Development services.
Intuitive Municipal Solutions (iMS) is excited to announce that on October 20, 2026, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved the selection of the iMS Suite as the County's new integrated permitting software platform.
The selection follows an extensive evaluation process involving 22 interested software companies, more than 30 County employees across multiple departments, and input from contractors, engineers, and other community stakeholders.
During the Board meeting, County Administration presented its recommendation, highlighting iMS's flexibility, integrated capabilities, experience with Florida permitting requirements, and commitment to improving public service.
"At the end of the process, iMS provided the best overall balance of flexibility, integration, Florida permitting experience and public service outcome."
Bringing Community Development Together
Indian River County's initiative focuses on replacing fragmented processes with a unified permitting platform that better serves County employees, residents, contractors, and businesses.
The iMS Suite will provide a centralized environment for applications, departmental reviews, inspections, documents, fees, and permit tracking. By connecting departments through shared records and configurable workflows, the County aims to improve coordination, reduce unnecessary delays, and provide greater transparency throughout the permitting process.
